After returning from interships and travelling abroad in 2007 I started to reconstruct the parents´ house. I decided to do the works myself. It was a situation similar to the complete reconstruction of my sister´s flat, where I cooperated with my brother-in-law.
I wanted to find out the possibilities and the range of what was possible to do in our conditions. The period of direct executions along with designing works lasted for almost five years. This period guides further activities I am developing step by step.
I founded Michal Krátky Architekti, spol. s r. o. as an experimental platform for cooperation between architects, designers and production industry. I expanded the initial activity focus from interiors and furniture creation to complex architectural services and counselling. Thanks to longterm experience I work on projects with different scope, detailing and focus. Besides own activities I am constantly looking for cooperation with other architects, designers, manufacturers and craftsmen.
During the first half of the year 2015, me and my wife relocated to Australia and my office became mobile. I have decided to merge an architecture and a design with handicraft and travelling. I am in Sydney, Australia nowadays and still working also on my long period projects from Slovakia.
